Google denies the allegations of patent infringement

On Friday, the Internet, Google released an official statement saying that the statements of representatives of Northeastern University, the United States that the search technology of the Internet giant violated a number of patents, the rights are owned by the university, are not true.

Recall, the company Jarg Corp, which develops algorithms and search technology, and Northeastern University in Boston, United States ( Massachusetts, USA), argue that the search algorithm of Google indexing the data violates their patented design.

The lawsuit against Google was filed on behalf of the company Jarg. In most Jarg note that patent number 5,694,593 on December 2, 1997 handed over to the company was exclusively Jarg Northeastern University.

The lawsuit does not indicate exactly when Google began to use the design as described in the aforementioned patent, however, Jarg, founded in 1998, argued that violation of Google for them became evident about 2.5 years ago. At the same time the company has begun to take action against Google.

The patent numbered 5,694,593 describes a system of distributed storage of information retrieval, in which there is a client computer and a host server nodes. Also, the patent describes a mechanism for storing information, indexes, hash data, and various fragments. The most frequently used search terms are stored on the main server site, other requests are distributed to other machines.

The lawsuit stated that the mechanism of fragmented queries, used Google, to get the fastest results in exactly the same patent.

Now in Google say that the company not only violated the law, but would seek revocation of the patent Jarg. In Google noted that examined the patent and concluded that it violates a number of rules and procedures.

According to lawyers, litigation parties could drag on for a year or two.
